Campaign Story

My name is Samantha, and my partners name is Drake. We have a unique story that I would love to briefly share with everyone. We are part of the lucky couples that do have children, just not together. Drake has two brilliant girls from a previous marriage and we are actively involved in their lives. I have a son that was born out of wedlock, and he is just as special/brilliant to us. As grateful as we are for the family that we were blessed with, we long to have a child of our own. Drake is the last male of his bloodline and we hope to continue his family’s legacy. To our dismay, I am unable to have anymore children after having my son due to medical malpractice. Upon giving birth to my son, the OBGYN delivering him left a huge amount of placenta inside of my body. This followed with a near death incident, resulting in two major surgeries to remove the placenta. Upon meeting my partner, we went back to see the doctor that performed my surgery. We had been trying to conceive for nearly two years with no success. The doctor told us that my uterus was “obliterated” with scar tissue and that I would not be able to have anymore children. This has been devastating news for us ever since. We cherish the family that we do have, as we know there are many IVF families that aren’t as fortunate. But we still long for a child of our own, to continue my partner’s legacy… and complete our little family we’ve created. We are asking anyone that is familiar with or suffered from medical malpractice to help my partner and I start our IVF journey.
